REFUNDS FOR STUDENTS WHO WITHDRAW ON OR BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS
If tuition and fees are collected in advance of the start date of classes and the student does not begin classes or withdraws on the first day of classes, SUNM will refund 100% of the tuition and fees within 30 days of the first day of class.

If the amount that you have paid is more than the amount that you owe for the time you attended, then a refund will be made within 30 days of the date of determination of withdrawal. If the amount that you owe is more than the amount that you have already paid, you will have to arrange to pay it.

Non-Payment Plan
Student Pays $4595.83 for the quarter.
The student withdraws during the 3rd week, the student receives $3217.08
Payment Plan
Student registers for classes. Tuition for the quarter is $4595.83, which equals $382.99 per week for 12 weeks. The student withdraws during the 3rd week and has paid $700 for the quarter following the payment plan. The student does not receive a refund and owes SUNM $448.97 for unpaid tuition.
CANCELLATION POLICY
A student has the right to cancel her/his agreement for a degree program of instruction until the midnight of the fifth business day on which she/he attended her/his first class. Business day means a day on which the student is scheduled to attend a class session.
- Cancellation can be made in any manner: phone, email, USPS, etc.
- The written notice of cancellation, if sent by mail, is effective based on the post mark date.
- If the Enrollment Agreement is canceled for a degree program of instruction by midnight of the fifth business day on which the student attended her/his first class (business day is a day on which a student is scheduled to attend a class session), the student will have no liability to SUNM for tuition and the school will refund any money that the student paid within 30 days after it receives the student’s notice of cancellation.
- SUNM does not grant refunds for books purchased at SUNM or other miscellaneous fees
