Studio G

SUNM has a partnership with Studio G (through New Mexico State University). Studio G is funded through the Small Business Administration. Their purpose is to assist young entrepreneurs in setting up their businesses or to help them market a product they create. The Student Services Coordinator attends bi-weekly meetings where colleges and universities from New Mexico, Texas, and Colorado share ideas and network. Studio G is currently offering workshops to brainstorm ideas for marketing and to help young entrepreneurs market their ideas and collaborate.

A mother and daughter team (owners of the Backbone Clinic) who recently graduated from SUNM worked with Studio G to provide a grand opening of their new business which offers Naprapathic treatments along with other wellness offerings. The Backbone Clinic recently received an award through the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for its first anniversary.

Another graduate is working through American Indian Business Enterprise (AIBE) under the umbrella of Studio G. This enterprise was formed to assist Native Americans start businesses and promote indigenous groups.
